The following chart includes a three-year history of the wage index for each Core-Based Statistical Area
(CBSA) and Rural Area (listed by state).
The data for the most recent year (PPS 26) is from the February 21, 2012 Federal
Register. It will take effect on October 1, 2012. It includes a reduction in the
Wage Index of each CBSA of .991007 for the Rural Floor Budget Neutrality Factor.
